 Stay:  Pompa & Sprocket 2014 / Tibor & Tessa 2016

Pansesiertos offers two fully equipped holiday houses along the road from Cangas de Onís to the Cabrales area. Pandesiertos I is a holiday house for 6 people with three floors and belonging to the quality group of “Calidad Aldeas, Asturias Calidad Rural”. Pandesiertos II suits 4 people and has got two floors. More details see Pandesiertos website.

We, two Border Collies (Pompa and Sprocket) went for several times to Pandesiertos with our humans (nowadays they’ve got a puppy, or better to say a human baby, too!). What we love is the fenced area with private access to the river. No danger either for us or kids. We love the river, what about you? See our photographs. Both holiday houses are fully equipped (kitchen, WiFi etc.) but without any doubts the location is the best of all! We’ll come back for sure!

IMPORTANT: You can come to Pandesiertos without paying extra fees!

Bring your blanket, bed or mat, your drinking nap and feeder so you feel at home immediately. Of course we’re expected to behave well and to poop outdoors. Our humans are supposed to collect and clean up our poop around the house. In case we can’t accompany our humans we’re allowed to stay alone in the house, but within a box or travel carrier, not of the leash.

** Situated near the National Park of Picos de Europe in Asturias. Access to places such as the Covadonga lakes, Sotres, Cares gorge walk…

Nestled in nature in an old mountain house recently renovated in 2010, Casona del Nansa Hotel is located in Puente el Arrudo, a town of the Cantabrian municipality of Herrerías, a beautiful Cantabrian municipality in the basin of the Nansa River and the Nansa Natural Park. The hotel offers comfort, tradition, homemade food featuring dishes by the Chef, and personalized service. But, the best of all: they allow pets! We Chess and Jack  are two cats we love to travel with our humans.

The fact that we’re allowed in all common areas too, is really great! By the way, our humans had breakfast next to  a table with a couple with two poodle dogs, and we the cats gave company to our humans one night at the hotel bar while they were having some Gin Tonics. We also enjoyed playing outside in the garden, where there is a playground for children.

**Casona del Nansa Hotel is close to nearby natural highlights such as: the cave of El Soplao, Chufín, Santillana del Mar and The Altamira Cave, and the beaches of San Vicente de la Barquera and Pechon… these natural treasures are all less than 15 minutes away from the hotel.

In Asturias but especially in Cudillero you’ll find lots of places where we dogs are welcome too. But usually we can’t accompany our humans during guided tours due to restricted areas such as churches and museums. Here in Cudillero that’s different. The guided tours are completely dog friendly as we are allowed indoor in all places and buildings we visit.

Do you fancy a tour?  Gasol, a german shephard dog,  hardly recommended me those guided tours, but I haven’t had time to try them myself so far. Don’t forget to make a reservation on forehand. The guide, Hugo, speaks English too.
