                                                                                                                                                              Stay: October 2015

My humans decided to have a treat and took me for a weekend to Rural farmhouse “La Pepita” situated in the heart of La Seca, within the county “Tierras de Medina del Campo” en the province of Valladolid heart of the D.O.Rueda vineyards.

Obviously we had spectacular views over the countryside and I really enjoyed staying in this house accompanied by my human friends. I, Zoë, had a ball! There’s a nice patio to play or just hang around. I was happy with the tiled fresh floor. My humans were glad not to pay anything extra for my stay.

The landlady, Silvia, is very generous and friendly. Although they have capacity for 10 people, it wasn’t a problem to rent the place only for me, Zoë, and my two humans. There are 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 1 separate toilet. In the patio you’ll find a BBQ, picnic area and a parking lot.

**This Rural farmhouse “La Pepita” is located only 20 minutes from the capital city Valladolid. Less than 1 hour to Ávila, Salamanca, Segovia, Palencia, Zamora  and 1,5 hour from Madrid (A6). Services: Restaurant (public), prepared meals on request, local products for sale and information about the area available. Activities:  Enotourism (Enology station), Spa de Las Salinas, horse riding, karts, paintball, frontón, local swimming pool.

                                                                                                                                                               Stay: July 2015

Situated in Queveda only 5 minutes away from Santillana del mar you’ll find Posada Gran Sol. It’s a pleasant and easy accessible B&B almost in the entrance of Barrio de la Cruz with private parking.

Not far away from interesting spots for our humans such as Santillana del Mar or the coast side. My humans liked the fact that the rooms were tidy and clean, cosy and nicely decorated with great view over the meadows. The landlady is very friendly. She gave me, Thor, a warm welcome. Breakfast is simple but fair enough. Some coffee with milk a bit of homemade cake and some juice. According to the economical price of the place, perfectly all right.

We are allowed to stay here with our human friends. In the room, but also at breakfast as long as you know how to behave and while you’re not bothering other guests. It seems that the landlady makes sure there are never too many of us at the same time, to make sure everyone feels comfortable. That’s why it’s wise to inform on forehand if there is availability for us dogs.

You can stroll around the village and do your needs, but it’s a pity that there isn’t really a place where we are allowed to run around off leash. My humans expected that there would be open fields nearby so that I could enjoy free off-the-leash walks with them. Of course that would have been better, but even though I really enjoyed our stay. They also took me to the beach nearby! What a fun we had.

****From B&B Posada Gran Sol you can easily reach interesting sights such as: The cave El Soplao, the cave of Chufín, Santillana del Mar and the Altamira caves, Comillas or San Vicente de la Barquera beaches’, one of them dogfriendly!
